The class action lawsuit alleged that Metairie Towers Condominium Association, its board, and related parties mismanaged insurance proceeds following Hurricane Ida and a subsequent water damage incident. Plaintiffs claimed this mismanagement caused insufficient funds for property repairs, resulting in financial harm to unit owners.
The settling insurers agreed to pay $650,000 to resolve these claims without admitting wrongdoing. Litigation against other parties involved in the matter continues.
