The Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast wishes to inform the general public that application forms for admission into the 5-Semester Bachelor of Education Programmes (Sandwich) for the 2024/2025 academic year are on sale and will continue until 31ST MARCH 2024. The programme has been designed to cater for persons interested in teaching at the Senior High School levels.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VARIOUS PROGRAMMES
1. Bachelor of Education (Science)
Applicants who want to pursue the above programme must have the following.
Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics Option) with Credits in any two of the following: Chemistry, Physics, Elective Mathematics and Biology in SSSCE/WASSCE.
2. Bachelor of Education (Mathematics)
Applicants seeking to pursue the above programme must have Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics Option) with Credit in Elective Mathematics and any of following: Chemistry, Physics or Economics in SSSCE/WASSCE.
3. Bachelor of Education (Arts)
Applicants who want admission into the above programme must have the following requirements.
Diploma in Basic Education with Credits in any two of the following. Christian/Islamic Religious Studies, History, Literature in English, French and Ghanaian Language in WASSCE/SSSCE.
4. Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences)
Applicants who want to pursue the above programme must have Diploma in Basic Education with Credits in any two of the following subjects in SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, Geography and Elective Mathematics to qualify.
5. Bachelor of Education (Social Studies)
Applicants seeking admission into the above programme must have the following to qualify.
Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Geography and any one of Economics, History or Government in the SSSCE/WASSCE to enable them to qualify.
6. Bachelor of Education (Home Economics)
Applicants seeking to gain admission to pursue the above programme must have the following qualifications.
Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects: Food and Nutrition, Management in living or General Knowledge in Arts, Biology Clothing and Textile and Chemistry in the WASSCE/SSSCE.
7. Bachelor of Education (Management)
Applicants who want admission into the above programme must have the following qualifications.
Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Business Management and any two of Accounting, Economics, Elective Mathematics and Costing in the SSSCE/WASSCE.
8. Bachelor of Education (Accounting)
Applicants who want to pursue the above programme must have Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in Accounting and any two of the following subjects: Business Management, Costing, Economics, Elective Mathematics in the SSSCE/WASSCE to enable them to qualify.
9. Bachelor of Education (Information Technology)
Applicants seeking admission to pursue this programme must have Diploma in Basic Education with Credit in any two of the following subjects in the SSSCE/WASSCE: Economics, Business Management, Accounting and Elective Mathematics to be able to qualify.

Note that all applicants are required to print out the completed application form and provide the following information at the back of the large EMS envelope: 1. application reference number 4. full name 3. postal address 4. first choice programme and 5. application category which should be written as: INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION POST WASSCE WITH DIPLOMA – SANDWICH (DEGREE) programme.
NB: Applications on which APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBERS are not written will not be considered.
