The University of Cape Coast (UCC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the 3-Semester Bachelor of Education (Post-Diploma) Sandwich Programmes for the 2026/2026 academic year.

This programme is run by the Institute of Education, UCC, in collaboration with the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) and the Ministry of Education.

About the UCC 3 Semester Sandwich Programmes

The UCC 3 Semester Bachelor of Education Sandwich Programme is designed for holders of the Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) who wish to upgrade to a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. The programme is offered in a blended mode—combining traditional face-to-face learning with online instruction.

Qualified applicants will be admitted directly into their selected programme. All applicants are required to have a smartphone, tablet, or any internet-enabled device to support the online learning component.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, applicants must possess the following:

  • A Diploma in Basic Education Certificate from a recognized institution.
  • A valid academic transcript showing academic performance in the Diploma programme.

Important Notes:

  • Home Economics and Technical Skills are available for Junior High School (JHS) programmes only.
  • Applicants with visual or hearing impairments must select Presbyterian College of Education as their study centre.

How to Apply

The application process is completely free. No application fee is required. Follow the steps below to submit your application:

  1. Visit the official UCC top-up application portal: https://topup.ucc.edu.gh
  2. Fill in the online application form with accurate details.
  3. Use an active email address and mobile number.
  4. Click on the “Submit” button to complete the process.
  5. After submission, check your email or SMS for your application number (ID).

Applicants are advised to keep their application number safe, as it will be needed for subsequent correspondence.

Deadline for Application

The deadline for submitting applications for the 2026/2026 admission is 30th November 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
