The Ghana National Service allowance schedule for 2024 has officially been released by the National Service Authority. This updated timetable comes after the recent payment of stipends for October, November, and December 2024, and it outlines the entire process that service personnel must follow to receive their monthly allowance without delays.
Understanding this schedule is very important for all personnel currently serving, as each step in the process plays a vital role in ensuring smooth disbursement. If any of the stages are skipped or delayed, it may lead to forfeiture of the allowance for that month. Let us walk through the full breakdown of how the process works.
Download Forms from the 10th of Each Month
The first stage begins on the 10th day of every month. Personnel are required to download the official forms provided by the NSA. These forms are essential because they are used to confirm attendance and active participation in the service program.
Get Forms Signed and Stamped (10th to 15th)
Once the forms are downloaded, service personnel must submit them to their assigned supervisors for signing and stamping between the 10th and 15th of the month. This step must not be missed. Failure to obtain a signature and stamp could result in a delay or complete loss of the monthly allowance.
Biometric Verification and Form Submission (16th to 20th)
From the 16th to the 20th, all personnel must complete their biometric attendance verification. This verification confirms that the person is physically present and actively participating in the service. Completed and stamped forms must be submitted alongside this biometric check.
Approval by NSA (21st to 25th)
Once verification is complete, the forms and biometric data are sent to the NSA for approval between the 21st and 25th. The approval process confirms the legitimacy of all submissions and ensures the correct data is sent for final checks.
Data Verification (26th to 30th)
Between the 26th and 30th of each month, data submitted by personnel undergoes a final verification process. This step ensures there are no errors or inconsistencies that could affect the payment process. It is important to ensure all information submitted matches the required criteria.
Payments Issued (1st to 5th of the Following Month)
Allowance payments are officially scheduled between the 1st and 5th of the following month. If all prior steps have been successfully completed and verified, service personnel will receive their monthly stipend without delay.
Important Notes from the NSS
The National Service Authority has emphasized that any failure to complete the biometric attendance or to secure the required signatures will result in forfeiture of that month’s allowance. Therefore, personnel are strongly advised to follow the timetable without exceptions.
Additionally, personnel should remain informed by checking for official updates regularly. Any changes to the process or schedule will be communicated through the appropriate channels. Timely action and attention to detail are necessary to ensure a smooth and stress-free allowance payment experience.
