Early Benefit Payments Coming This August
If you’re on Universal Credit, PIP, or Pension Credit, your next payment could arrive earlier than usual. Typically, benefit payments due on a public holiday are moved to the first working day before.
This means that anyone expecting a payment on Sunday, 25 August will instead see it in their account on Friday, 22 August.
The good news? The amount you receive should remain the same unless your circumstances have changed recently.

What To Do If You Don’t Get Your Payment
- Check your usual payment date in your online account.
- Contact your bank if the payment hasn’t arrived.
- Reach out to the DWP for support or to file a complaint if your benefit is unpaid.

Managed Migration: Legacy Benefits Moving to Universal Credit
