Poppi Settlement: Eligibility, Payout Dates, and How to File a Claim

Poppi class action settlement

If you’ve bought a can of Poppi’s sparkling prebiotic soda in recent years, you may be owed money from the $8.9 million Poppi settlement. A class action lawsuit was filed against Poppi’s former owner, VNGK Beverage, LLC, claiming that the drinks were marketed as “gut healthy” without scientific evidence to back it up. While the company denies any wrongdoing, a settlement has been reached.

Here’s what you need to know about eligibility, filing a claim, and when payouts will be sent.

Who is eligible for the Poppi settlement?

You may be eligible if you purchased any Poppi flavor or package size between January 23, 2020, and July 18, 2026. This includes single cans, 4-packs, 8-packs, 12-packs, and 15-packs bought during that time period.

How much can you receive?

The payout depends on how much Poppi you purchased and whether you have proof of purchase:

  • With proof of purchase
    • Up to $0.75 per single can
    • $3 per 4-pack
    • $6 per 8-pack
    • $9 per 12-pack or 15-pack
  • Without proof of purchase
    • You may still claim up to $16 total.
    • Actual amounts could change depending on the number of claims submitted and deductions for settlement costs.

How to file a claim

Filing is simple, and you don’t need a lawyer. Here are your options:

  • Online claim: Visit poppisettlement.com. If you received an email with a Claim ID and PIN, use that to file. If not, you can still submit a claim online without it.
  • Mail claim: Download a paper claim form from the settlement site and mail it in before the deadline.
  • Other options: You can also choose to opt out of the settlement or object to its terms.

Claim deadline

All claims must be submitted by September 16, 2026. Late claims will not be accepted.

When will Poppi settlement payments be sent?

Payments will not be immediate. A final approval hearing is scheduled for November 20, 2026. If the court approves the settlement and there are no appeals, payments will be distributed within 90 days of the settlement becoming final. That means the earliest payments are expected in early 2026.
