The UEW 2025/2026 admissions are now officially open to all qualified applicants who wish to pursue full-time, sandwich, or distance learning programmes at the University of Education, Winneba.

UEW Programmes
UEW offers diverse academic programmes across various faculties and campuses, including the Winneba, Ajumako, Kumasi, and Mampong campuses. These programmes span the fields of education, languages, sciences, arts, and technical disciplines. Students may choose from:
- Full-time Undergraduate Programmes
- Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters, and PhD Programmes
- Distance Learning and Sandwich Programmes
UEW Entry Requirements
Before applying, ensure that you meet the minimum entry requirements for your preferred programme. These include:
- A minimum of six (6) passes including English and Mathematics at the WASSCE/SSSCE level for undergraduate applicants.
- A first degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division for postgraduate applicants.
- For Physical Education applicants, you should not be more than 40 years old.
- Sports Coaching applicants should not be more than 50 years old.
If your certificates are not from WAEC or any recognized Ghanaian university or technical university, you must submit an evaluation report from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
How to Apply to UEW
All applicants are advised to read the official UEW admission brochure carefully before starting the application process. Follow the steps below to apply:
- Visit the UEW admissions portal at uew.edu.gh/admissions/apply.
- Purchase an application voucher from any approved bank or online platform.
- Fill the online application form with accurate personal and academic details.
- Upload all supporting documents, including certificates, transcripts, and passport photographs.
- Submit the completed application online and print a copy for your records.
Please note that applications without valid supporting documents will not be processed.
Important Information for Applicants
Admission into UEW is conducted transparently. Do not make any payments or offer gifts to anyone in exchange for admission. Doing so is entirely at your own risk and may lead to disqualification.
A fee-paying option is available for applicants who meet the basic requirements but fall short of competitive selection cut-offs. This provides an alternative path to pursue your academic goals at UEW.
