The rains which started around 3:40am on Tuesday got areas such as Ogbojo, Circle, Shiashi, Kasoa old barrier, Weija, Dansoman, Lapaz and its environs flooded.
Eyewitnesses gave account that those coming from Madina and heading towards town might as well need a canoe to help them cross the rivers at Okponglo and Shiashi, hence the general public is advised.
These heavy and windy rains could cause a lot of damage in the capital they said.
